How Much Does AI Automation Cost in Switzerland? Real 2026 Numbers
By WarMachine33 · August 2026
Most agencies answer this question with « it depends » and a discovery call. We publish our prices. Here they are, with what actually moves a quote up or down, and how to think about payback without the hype.
The short answer
At WarMachine33 the numbers are public. The diagnostic is CHF 490, delivered as a written, prioritized roadmap within 72 hours, and fully credited to any build. A single automation is CHF 2,000–8,000, fixed price, depending on what it is. The Starter Pack is CHF 3,900 for your first automation live end to end. Optional managed follow-up (« AutoPilot ») starts at CHF 690/month — optional being the operative word, because everything runs on infrastructure you own. Bundles of three or more automations carry a 15% discount, five or more 25%.
What each price band buys
Fixed prices only work if they map honestly to complexity. Ours, from the public catalogue: reporting automation from CHF 2,000; email triage, CRM, appointments, data sync and email marketing from CHF 2,500; document processing, invoicing, client onboarding, quotes and e-commerce flows from CHF 3,000; customer support, lead generation, IT/DevOps and competitive intelligence from CHF 3,500; accounting and procurement/inventory from CHF 4,000; and compliance/KYC-AML workflows from CHF 8,000 — the extra weight is audit trails and validation steps. Every figure is on the catalogue with its own page.
What moves a quote up or down
Four things, mostly. Integrations: two clean APIs cost less than one legacy tool with a CSV export. Data quality: messy inputs mean more validation logic. Human checkpoints: every approval step is worth building well. Volume and edge cases: a hundred invoices a month and ten thousand are different machines. This is exactly what the diagnostic pins down — which is why the build price after it is firm. If we misjudge the effort, that is our problem, not a change request.
Ongoing costs, honestly
Because the automation runs on your servers, ongoing costs are unusually transparent: a VPS at typical Swiss hosting rates, model API fees billed on usage where a hosted model is used at all, and maintenance only if you want us to keep operating it — CHF 150–500 per automation per month, or AutoPilot bundles at CHF 690, 1,290 or 2,400 for whole setups. There is no per-seat pricing and no subscription that quietly grows with your team.
Payback, without the hype
Published Swiss market research puts typical SME payback for automation projects at 6–12 months (ai-automation-hub.ch, 2026). Whether that holds for you is arithmetic, not faith: hours currently spent × a realistic loaded hourly cost, versus build cost plus running cost. We wrote a full ROI framework for exactly that calculation — and the diagnostic applies it to your processes with numbers you can defend internally. We do not promise outcomes; we show you the math.
DIY, hire, or agency?
Honest comparison: if you have a technically curious operator and simple flows, self-hosting your own stack is viable — that path exists (our sister product openclawpro.ai is built for it). Hiring an automation engineer runs far beyond CHF 100K/year loaded and is hard to justify below a large portfolio of processes. An agency build makes sense in the middle: fixed scope, fixed price, running in weeks, and — the part we insist on — handed over so you own it and are never locked in.
